Ever wondered what it takes to build a brand in the merch industry? Ira shares insights into her role, creative process, and what makes Merch Hub unique.
How did you get involved with Merch Hub?
I’ve been in brand management for a while, working across different areas, from content creation to fashion. I’ve always been passionate about style, thoughtful marketing, and working with products that people genuinely want to wear.
When the chance to work on merch for IT companies came up, it just clicked. The combination of aesthetics, marketing and production is exactly what I’m all about. Plus, I’ve always found the IT world interesting, and it’s something I can relate to. That’s how Merch Hub came into my life.

How do you imagine your dream collaboration? What kind of project would you love to create merch for?
My dream would be to create merch for something related to electronic music — think Boiler Room, Cercle, or a cool local festival with a great vibe.
Electronic music isn’t just about the sound; it’s also about style, aesthetics, and culture, and there’s so much room to experiment. I’d also love to work with a fashion brand or a tech company that thinks outside the box.

What kind of emotions should ideal merch evoke in the customer?
“Wow, this is awesome, I want to wear this every day!”
I love it, when merch goes beyond just being a branded item and becomes a real part of someone’s wardrobe. It should be stylish, self-sufficient, and also capture the brand’s mood.

Follow trends or create your own strategy?
Create your own strategy, but with a solid understanding of trends. It’s important to stay on top of what’s happening, but instead of copying, adapt trends to fit your audience. That way, the product stays both relevant and authentic.
What goals do you set for the development of Merch Hub?
I want people to see us as more than just a merch company. I want us to be recognized as a brand that creates truly stylish and desirable products. To make that happen, it’s important to strengthen our visual identity, create high-quality content, and communicate in a way that shows people we’re experts and partners, not just a service provider.
